Our coal is made of durable, long lasting, and very old carbon, with hints of hydorgen, sulfer, oxygen and nitrogen. Can be burnt to make heat. We suggest igniting the coal using the KARE001RT00. Designed to work with other coals for a complete bbq / Braai. Why a ''lump of coal'' ? The origin stories vary by culture. In Holland, children kept their clogs by the fireplace to keep them warm for the morning. They got cookies or a small toy in their wooden shoe if they were good. Or coal if they were bad. In Sicily, a witch, not Santa, was known for leaving gifts for good children and coal from the fireplace for bad children.
